MY husband and are both born in Chessington. Michael Dunkley at 164 Moor Lane. Me (Carol Hibberd) 42 Ashby Avenue. My husband was also in the choir. He remembers Mick MacAlpin from Gilder Road. I have a photo somewhere of the choir taken early 1950 Will find it.
Hello, my Dad is Collin Watson. He is still living close by and I have heard many choir boy stories! I shall ask him your names and see his face light up probably 😄
we lived next door to ?Doug Watson on moor lane...
as for the church i was christened there and sister and brother both had their weddings there, bro had his gathering in the blackamoors after! I don't remember surname Dunkley but the Stamps were over the road...daughter had a motorbike as did I.
Very fond of the little old church, used to love to hear the bells on a sunday and all the horses clopping round, must have been stables nearby?
