More about this scene
The centre was of particular importance to London's disabled as a resort. The Winged Fellowship used it as a centre for respite care and holidays for the disabled. Most particularly, in 1964 the centre was established as a place that provided riding lessons for the wheelchair-bound. This centre had grown from the work of Norah Jacques at Forest Lodge Riding School in the late 1950s.
