More about this scene
Pollarded lime trees line part of the High Street of this village, which can justifiably claim to be one of Kent's prettiest; it duly attracts hordes of visitors during the summer season. Set in the valley of the River Stour, its Tudor and Jacobean houses have been carefully maintained, and further up the street is the old Woolpack Inn.
