More about this scene
In 1902 the architect Charles Ashbee brought 100 silversmiths, furniture makers and other craftsmen with their families from London's East End to establish the Guild of Handicraft in Chipping Campden. Inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement, they set up business in a former silk mill in Sheep Street. To this day the town remains a centre of fine craftsmanship.
