Chipping Norton, Bliss Tweed Mills c.1960

More about this scene
A wonderful example of Victorian architecture, the Bliss Tweed Mills dominate the approach to Chipping Norton, looking more like a stately home than a factory. The mill was built by George Woodhouse in 1872, on the site of a mill at least a hundred years older. The business continued in operation until 1980; the building has since been converted into luxury apartments.
