This view is similar to photograph C366039, but with a different steam train on the viaduct. Of canal boats there is no sign. When this view was taken, the canal carrying age was over and the leisure boom had yet to explode. Directly under the cameraman's feet is the entrance to the 459-yard-long Chirk Tunnel.
