I remember this post office & stores being run by a nice couple - Mr & Mrs Simons. I think she may have been Welsh, as she used to call us children "deeeya" for "dear".
A dear old man, Mr Wilsden lived in a cottage very near to the post office. He was the village's Road Man & spent most of his time tidying verges & clearing road drainage & ditches. His dog Jackie followed him ...see more
