My Great grandfather was a ‘beer house keeper’ in Cliffe circa 1920. I am having trouble finding out which beer house! I don’t suppose the name William Dalton means anything to you? His wife Alice had a general store on Station Road
My great great grandparents were Joseph and Eliza also. Their daughter Sarah was my great grandmother and her daughter Edith was my nan. Joseph and Eliza went on to run a pub in Deptford called the Steam Packet which was in Stowage - now long gone. My nan end up in Croydon.
