More about this scene

Three people aboard the punt steady their craft as a passenger boat heads upstream. The large building in the background is Clivedon, built by Charles Barry in 1851 for the Duke of Sutherland. The Astor family once lived there, and it is now owned by the National Trust and let as an hotel. Barry was also responsible for the Palace of Westminster; his son was the engineer who built Tower Bridge.
