More about this scene

There is a pub in the village with the lovely name of the Spinner and Bergamot - apparently it was named for two local racehorses. Another horse associated with Comberbach is the Marbury Dunne; but this is a ghostly one, sometimes seen with a lady in the saddle in the grounds of the former Marbury Hall.

A Selection of Memories from Comberbach

For many years now, we've been inviting visitors to our website to add their own memories to share their experiences of life as it was, prompted by the photographs in our archive. Here are some from Comberbach

Sparked a Memory for you?

If this has sparked a memory, why not share it here?

I and my brothers grew up in the paper shop on the left of this picture and a car parked outside was a rarity. My memory tells me this one belonged to the photographer who took the picture.
