More about this scene
The first English branch of Woolworth's was opened in Liverpool in 1909, and before long there was a branch of F W Woolworth on virtually every high street in the country; but many have disappeared in recent years. The branch shown here (right) has been replaced by a branch of Superdrug. The buildings just beyond have been pulled down and replaced.
