The stone bridge carries the A354 over the River Ebble at Coombe Bisset. It was built in about 1780, at a time when the new turnpike roads were contributing significantly to Salisbury's commercial development, and it is pictured here viewed from the original packhorse bridge, just downstream, which it replaced.
