Gerge Diment 1821? To 1884
A Memory of Cossington.
Not so much as a memory as a search. My family came from Cossington & Chilton Polden. My ggrandfather George Diment was a master blacksmith in Cossington. He made an iron band to repair the great tree outside the Church in Cossington. The tree is shown still standing in 1955 on one of the photos of Cossinton on this site. We have visited the village a few years ago and spoke to the lady who was living in the old 'smithy'. If any one has any memories or connections to the DIMENT family please get in touch.
