Cove Green
A Memory of Cove.
Such rich memories. Cove football team playing in yellow and black, Mr Isaacs collecting with his wooden box and dew drop from his nose. He used to warn 8 Yr old about the perils of alcohol at Methodist Sunday School. The fun fair that used to come behind the Green. And, of course Charlie's sweet shop with his old mum and fabulous sweets. And the Elite Fisheries next to the Methodist Church where you could sit down to have your rock salmon and have huge pickled onions. Not that we ever did. I lived till 13 on Minley Estate in Twelve Acre Crescent surrounded by woods and Army land. Anyone else remember that?
