Cowes, The Parade 1908

More about this scene
The donkey and cart standing outside the hotel would now be replaced by automobiles. A yachting agency advertises itself on the left-hand side of the house by the Royal Marine Hotel. The twin turrets on the seaward side of the Parade led to the pier; they are no longer there, although today there are still numerous seats on which to rest. The elegant style of the Edwardian black and white outfits give the Parade a graceful atmosphere.
