The only music shop I can recall was Bosson & Doig on Hightown, used to sell sheet music and musical instruments.
as well as Bossen and Doig there was a privately owned one in market street. Unfortunately both have been knocked down and are no longer there.
My sister worked in record shop in Crewe. they also sold musical instruments too! Her name was Jean Brownell.
There was also Breedon & Middleton. opposite Kettels Hotel when they closed down Brian Townsend opened a shop in the town centre., also Winsford and Northwich
There was a music shop on Nantwich Road in the 60s/70s
can't remember the name though but the building will still be there perhaps you should ask on Crewe memories site
I have a very strong memory of a record shop on Nantwich Road, towards the station end, in the early 70s. It had gone by the mid 70s - the shop sign was pink (I think) and had drawings of a record at either end of the sign. Anyone else remember this shop or have any photos?
