Hi, I was born in New Street close to Thomas street, I had school friends from Thomas street area and a Sunday school teacher from there named Nellie Welch, brother Jack, sadly both passed away rather young, I moved to Canada in 1967 but in truth never found better friends or workmates than Crewe works apprentice days, is the Lord Raglan and area still there?
No the Lord Raglan Thomas Street and all around that area has gone although Brierley Street schools are still there but not used as schools.Do you remember the razzer and the youth club,Crewe has changed an awful lot in the past years. I no longer live in crewe moved to Chester 40yrs ago rarely go back now.
I also lived near Lord Raglan and Fay Prince babysat my daughter for me whose name is Susan my name is now Wendy Goodwin having been married twice I remember Days brother Stuart and she also had a sister Julie how lovely to read this by accident on your pages brought back many happy memories as I have often thought of Fay and what became of her I remember her going to live in Chester keep up the good work .

Hi Linda lm trying to remember your brothers and sister, Was there Malcolm then l knew Ponner then there was Carol ? It is a very long time since Thomas Street,do you remember the Gag Harris and there family John, David, Susan and Minner.Look forward to hearing from you again.
Yes, we’ll were a big family, twin sisters Margaret and Myra, Brothers Malcolm, Peter, Bobby and Tony (Ponna) Sisters Carol and Kim, there all still living around Crewe and Nantwich. Yes remember the Harris’s and Susan and Kevin Ormes there mum was Brenda. The Washington’s, Shirley Michael, I remember Crewe town centre was our playground we used to get into 2 groups, one group would go first and put chalked arrows on the ground and the second group would chase them down half an after ha ha brilliant time. What about yourself Fay xx
I still live in Chester got married to keith 50yrs ago,we have two children Mathew 47, Laura 43 we have got a little granddaughter 18months called Ella. I worked in Boots Chester for 30 years ish and now we are both retired. Do you ever get back to Crewe?
I used to love going Chester for the day, Rob did a big job there going back 40 odd years ago, we haven’t been back for 10yrs, and that was for Emily’s wedding reception. Yes I’m having a holiday with Emily/Myles and kiddos, will be staying in Crewe for 1 night on our way to Ireland, so just a quick catch up with family, it’s a long flight so we’re stopping off at a few places to break it up, so that’s happening the end of June for about 4 weeks, so that will be interesting as I know there’s been some big changes around Crewe, so our family tell us. Its a very special thing isn’t it being Grandparents, keeps us busy anyway. You’ve probably heard about the bush fires in the Eastern states, I suppose were quite lucky we live in Perth West Australia, we do have bush fires, (touch wood )not as bad as over there. The weathers cooling down for next couple of days, but it is summer here, my favourite seasons are winter and spring, I find summer can be a bit too hot for me, we do a lot of walking so in the heat not very pleasant unless we go down to the beach where we get some fresh breezes. Daniel and family and Emily and family live about five minutes away from us so we do spend a fair bit of time with them, hope I haven’t rambled in too much x
Hello I am interested in Kevin Ormes, and I am wondering if its the same person that joined the Junior Soldiers in Folkestone, Kent (Cheshire Regt) in 1967-1969. If it is I would like to make contact as the old boys get together every year for a reunion. I would welcome ant response.

Regards Robert King
