This image is a coloured postcard: These coloured postcards were produced by the Frith company in the 1950s and 60s, in the earliest days of coloured postcard production, and were printed using a process called collo-colour. Although the results look quite basic to modern eyes, used to the wonders of the modern printing process, these postcards have a certain period charm as delightfully nostalgic ephemera items from the not-so-distant past.

Long Ago My Heart Was Given To Elizabeth Cloud

I too was born at Stone Park in 1950. My mother was Joan Cloud and my dad was Joe Mannion. My mother Joan was the youngest child of Elizabeth and Ernest Cloud of 88 Anerley Road, Upper Norwood. I remember living in the basement flat at 144 church road . My brother simon Dodds and me,jenny Dodds went to Rockmount Infants school. my mother Mary Dodds taught at Rockmount too. I remember Rockmount Rec and crystal palace park,especially the dinosaurs and the pet zoo.i remember the little train that you had to put in a penny to watch it go round. Hi everyone Lived Thicket Road circa 1975 till 1979 Lived in bed sitters at 33 thicket road along with carol Fred Bobby and others crazy days Did a brief stint at Southern Relief in Anerly Hill Out of hours doctors service wild days wonder what happened to Lyn Hart who moved th Hailsham 1978 had a baby father called John lived Elmers End Anyone out there

Born In Palace Road, Crystal Palace Se19

I was born in Palace Road in 1959. I lived with my sisters Fay Barbara and parents John and Audrey Langford. My aunt Joan and Uncle Tom Martin owned the house and we rented the top floor flat.
