Caption for Culham, The Lock C1965: Pleasure boat trips on the Thames have been popular for many a year. Here we see the Mary Stuart, with a good complement of passengers aboard, about to enter Culham Lock, while the lockkeeper stands by ready to close the gates once the steamer is safely inside.

Memories of Culham

When I was 18, I lived with my relatives on the outskirts oif Reading. I was offered a job working as a builders labourer.
