Sheep safely graze on the village green in Danby, a pretty village on the northern edge of the North York Moors. Note the chapel on the left. Danby is perhaps best known as the parish where Canon J C Atkinson wrote his Forty Years in a Moorland Parish, a wonderful evocation of moorland life.
