More about this scene
This lovely Tudor building survived unchanged for 300 years before being badly damaged in the bombing of 1943. The exterior carvings and plasterwork were removed for safe-keeping, and the building was restored in 1954. Parade House (right) was demolished in 1980 and sensitively rebuilt, with a slate hung front, as the NatWest bank.
