More about this scene
The Town Hall, rebuilt during the 19th century, occupies a solitary position in the centre of a deserted market place. It is difficult to imagine that the village was once a prosperous agricultural centre. The ground floor, on the far side of the building, once housed old hand-operated fire engines.
