More about this scene
St Martin of Tours' Church is on the main Pilgrims' Way from Winchester to Canterbury, and would have been a regular stopping point for the pilgrims before starting the climb up Detling Hill. The church has traces of its original Norman structure, but most of what can be seen today is Early English.
