Grand Father Served On HMS Royal Adelaide 1886

A Memory of Devonport.

Hi My Grand-father John Ralph Cantell started his Royal Navy career on board this ship. 22nd May -4th June 1886. He served until 1908, had a few years off! and then was called up for WW1, and served from 1914-1919.

My Great Grandad John Gillard served as a boy aboard Royal Adelaide 30.10.1886 to 17.11.1886 before moving to HMS Triumph. Ended navy career as a CPO.
