Evocative of days gone by, there is nice detail in this scene, such as the tractor with its passenger and the old vans. This village is situated near Barry, in the Vale of Glamorgan. The general newsagent and the petrol vendor make every effort to provide for the locals, even to the extent of the outdoor scales for the weight conscious.
