School Swimming Lessons

A Memory of Dorking.

I remember going from St Pauls school to this pool for swimming lessons. I would also swim there in the holidays. I was afraid of the slide but would jump from the high diving board. I never did learn to dive.

This was my Uncle Frank Gifford's pool at the Watermill. My cousin Nigel used to have a huge model liner with electric lights, which we used to steam up and down the swimming pool in the evening after the pool closed for the day.
