More about this scene
This Almshouse was endowed in 1616 and named after its founder Robert Sackville, Earl of Dorset. Here it is almost submerged in ivy (since removed). A wellhead is just discernible at the left, and to the right is the chapel. The belfry is a 19th century addition. The College warden in 1910 was Frank Hill.
