More about this scene

Eastcote is a mediaeval settlement; it is only as one emerges from the shopping parades of the 1930s grouped around the underground station into a series of timber-framed vernacular buildings of the 16th century, that one realises that the original village centre was well to the north of the present one. Among the old buildings, close to the new centre, is Barn House, an early barn conversion of little merit, Field End Farm House, Field End Lodge and Retreat Cottage, all timber-framed.

If this has sparked a memory, why not share it here?

Did anyone go to this school between 1959 and 1964 . I used to live in Whitby Road Eastcote opposite the Clay Pigeon. I have fond memories of Eastcote .
