Eastcote, Haydon Hall And Grounds c.1960

I lived in Haydon Hall from 1947 until 1967. I was ten months old when we moved there and left home when I was 18 yrs old. My mother was the caretaker of the old house, and the new building after the house was pulled down. I have lots of memories of playing in the woods near the river Pinn. I clearly remember those buildings by Hayden Hall. I used to live at the bottom of Wiltshire Lane next to the Woodman pub and the park opposite was my playground for a good few years. All that open space and the woods over the other side by the River Pinn was a fantastic place for all kinds of games.
