Hi, can anyone help. I am trying to find out the history of the Glyder Hotel in Eastham. I am very interested in history, I would love to know when the "glider" as I knew it, was built, by whom, what date etc, who owned it, and if possible any old pictures anyone might have of the building. Any information would be appreciated, val
I am trying to help a vicar in the USA trace his gt.gt.gt. grandfather - Rev James Galloway, he died aged 44 yrs old. He was the minster of St. Georges Prestbyterian Church, Little Sutton, which is still there. According to records and sketchy information, the following has turned up that the Rev Galloway (although died young), died at a hospital in Eastham. Would anyone know what hospital/hospitals would have been in the area in approx 1850-70? Many thanks.
My Mum, Norma Hardie, lived in Eastham in the 1930s and went to the local school. She had wanted to name me Dulcie, but as you can see, I'm called Valerie. I wonder if she was a friend of your relatives.
