it is about ten years before photograph E154014 (above) was taken, and on a sunny (Sunday?) morning three ladies walk along Church Street, perhaps to the church. this is another example of the peaceful village life of half a century ago.

There is a sense of history by walking along Church Street with its deep guttering, for the times when and where horses were the transport and along to the Church, the Palace Of Eastry, Eastry Court and then Eastry farm and the C. of E.
