More about this scene
Queen Victoria's second son, the Duke of Edinburgh, had these amazing portico towers built around 1878. Along with the gatehouse next door, they announce the entrance to Eastwell Manor. By 1960 more than 30 years had passed since the house had been given a Jacobean-style facelift. The bastard son of Richard III is buried at the ancient village church.
