More about this scene
With just a sprinkling of snow, this delightful scene could very easily make a traditional Christmas card! Ellington's church is mentioned in the Domesday Survey of 1086, but the oldest surviving part dates back to the 13th century. The spire was restored in 1899, and the nave roof a year after this photograph was taken.
