More about this scene
The inn is now closed; at one time there was a bowling green nearby from which it may have taken its name. Outside stands an AA patrol van. The house on the right is now described as Maltravers, '18th-century restaurant'. Beth Chatto's well-known garden can be found on the edge of the village.
