I Had Relations In Shortcroft Road
A Memory of Ewell.
My relations lived in number 24 Shortcroft Road my father grew up in that house as with his father sisters and a brother Eric my grandfather used the Jolly Wagoners a lot and when I came along and old enough I spent a lot of time in Shortcroft Road and playing football with the boys one of them you may remember David Cooperwe all went to Dantree Road school played in the Rec as we called it my cousin and I used to wait outside the Jolly Wagoners for our grandfather to bring us out an arrow root biscuit they were quite big then when we were old enough Mike and I used to play darts in the pub I think David you have a brother John I wonder if you write again you'd possiblely remember us we used to ride on the back of the milk mans float till we got told off would you remember the Heasemans John and Jimmy I would leave my me at some other time
