My family have been in the village for over 100yrs, grandfather and father cut the hair of most of the male villagers from the 20-60s it was short back and sides for all.. My Grand daughter "Alice" is now carrying on the tradition. Being a mobil hairdresser around the locality. My Father was also the village cobbler.

My name is Bill Maundrill, brother of Brian, I was born in 1941 in the Firs Cottage and went to Farrington School.
Tony Brimble lived next door and his father kept pigeons, Phillip Payne and John, Ducky Rogers, Roger Watts, Terry Kingman, we all grew up together and I just wonder were they are now.

Hi I lived in Farrington Gurney . I used to walk our dog to meet Betty and we then joined the school bus at the end of the street Ruth used to visit my Mum and Dad after I had left home to check they were O.K. I believe there was a third sister Peggy.
I lived in Farrington Gurney all my single life from 1937, except for 2 years National Service. I went to school in Farrington Gurney and after 11 plus to Wells Blue school.My faher was Silvester Cook the local builder and Funeral Director. My mother owned the Transport cafe opposite the cattle market. I now live in Highcliffe, Dorset.
