Filey, The Beach c.1950

More about this scene
Lines of wind shelters adorn the beach at the popular Yorkshire coast resort of Filey. Once a fashionable beach accessory, such shelters are seldom seen today, so perhaps it was windier in the Fifties! Filey Bay runs down from the prominent coastal feature of Filey Brig, which juts out into the North Sea.
