Foulden Hall
A Memory of Foulden.
I lived in Foulden in the mid 1950's. I don't have any memories as such, as I was but a baby when we were there. As I understand it, my father was working for Lord Amherst as a pig breeder / herdsman and we lived in a tied cottage. We weren't there very long and I would love to know if anyone has any information about the workers and the Amherst family.
Sadly, my parents and siblings are have all died and I have no one who remembers our time at Foulden. I do half recall a story about one of the Amherst children (I think) falling from an upstairs window at the Hall, but can't find anything regarding the incident.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
