More about this scene
This row of flint and brick cottages are in the style of the 17th century, but they have the date 1844 over the porch. The windows are diamond-paned leaded lights with stone mullions and a dripstone over the upper window. Where the wall stood on the right, the now open space is an attractive riverside garden beside the village hall.
