More about this scene

St Luke's is a fine church in an equally well-proportioned village. Inside is a life-size monument to a Colonel Cheyney, sculpted in alabaster in 1848, showing him on one of the four horses shot from under him at Waterloo. The church is believed to have been founded by the Knights Templar from Rothley.
