More about this scene
Garboldisham is steeped in ancient history: there is a defensive earth work here known as the Devil's Dyke, and a mound traditionally supposed to be the grave of Boudicca, Queen of the Iceni. It is difficult to imagine that this peaceful village was a market town in the Middle Ages.
