More about this scene

Godshill is one of the most photographed villages in England, with a wealth of fine thatched cottages. The church, that sits astride a mound, is the largest medieval church on the island; its roof is constructed with half a mile of black oak timbers. Traffic now thunders through – the village is strung out along the A3020.

A Selection of Memories from Godshill

Husband and I visiting from Battle Creek, MI USA. Cousin and wife living in Niton and took us all over the Isle. I took a picture in front of the 2 cottages with the church behind them. Your picture of the same site brings back great memories.
