Rose Hawkins Recognises Herself After The Passing Of Many Years!
A Memory of Gomshall.
One of the little girls in this picture, as a late middle age woman, worked for my Father at the Black Horse Hotel. My father had purchased a print of the above and when hanging it in the saloon bar Rose Hawkins recognised herself playing with friends in the river as a child. The local paper was advised with a journalist visiting and reporting taking photos of my father and Rose holding the framed print. This caused great excitement amongst the locals. My father's name was Bunny Smith. The date is approimate.
