A Memory of Grange Villa.

i lived in the villa in the 60s i still remember mr burlinson and his cart emptying the loos in the back lanes we used to play at the hilly or the depo, we had the bonfire next to nobles and the school we were called the squarees and used to fight the wessies (west pelton)people i remember are lewy logan, dicky greathead, john bales, connie scott, eddie armstrong, the swifts, the smiths. dodger, ernie best, jakey laverick, the blewits, and loads more hope more people write things on this site yours rob barrass

Eddie Armstrong was my Uncle Eddie. What do you remember about him or any of the Armstrong family in the 1960's. I am trying to collect information about my family history.
I also lived in the Villa and remember a lot of those names but cant remember you Ruby Bore was my maiden name and I used to pay at all those places and with Connie Scott and remember those people.. I must have been to those bonfires.. I am now in Australia and don't know what happened to anyone I have got contact with Irene Wage also Dot Brown you might remember she had her leg taken off over the hilly at the washery....
Did your uncle Eddie live in a corner house I think it could be albert st it was a little shop?

i do remember you ruby, i think your oldeer than me i was born in 1951 my mam was peggy brown, my cousins were george donkin and ofcourse the donkins. eddie armstrong was a good footballer thats all i know about him he was pals with john bails
