More about this scene
This was the thatched lodge gate from the village street to the Hall. It dates from the 1840s, when Sir Henry Bunbury created the park around the Hall. The gate was to the left, and survives today at the entrance to St John's. The Hall burnt down in 1914, and the estate was sold in 1915. The drive now gives access to areas of housing.
