More about this scene
Here we see the English side of the De Brus Cenotaph. The cenotaph was presented to the priory by Margaret Tudor, daughter of Henry VII; it can be dated by the carving second from right, which shows a cock on a reel , a rebus for James Cockerill, penultimate prior of the priory, who was in office at the time when the cenotaph was presented to the priory.
