Gweek, The Post Office c.1960

More about this scene
Gweek was at one time a port of some significance at the head of the tidal Helford River, which lies between the buildings and the wooded hillside. Here we see a typical village post office and general stores selling most everyday requirements. Anything more, and the inhabitants would travel into nearby Helston.
