The 18th-century obelisk milestone (centre left) was moved to outside the George in 1974. The building on the right has 17th-century pargetting, with the arms of Bayning. Hicks, on the left, has an original 15th-century door. Beyond the George (centre right) is the premises of M W Partridge, the ironmonger for this area of Suffolk.
