More about this scene
Hanbury sprawls along the B4091, which runs north from the Saltway to Bromsgrove. This view shows the junction of the two roads, where The Vernon Arms has been offering refreshment to travellers for many years. It takes its name from the Vernon family who lived at Hanbury Hall, a Wren-style mansion built in 1701 and given to the National Trust in 1953.
