More about this scene
The narrow ancient streets of Harlech, a town that sprang up to serve the stronghold, have changed little over the years, as is shown by this picture of the High Street. The town was served by a station on the Cambrian railway; as a result, hotels sprang up to cater for the many visitors. The hotel on the right, with its pleasing railings, has a Cyclists' Touring Club sign. The Post Office is down the street to the left.
